My Camera, the Drama Queen

Ever since I seriously thought of replacing it, it began acting OK again. (Taking pictures faster, hence reducing motion blur..)

55 Minutes Later..
May. 2nd, 2008 | 12:55 am

So how was the first of May? 17$ in tips, a woman fainted twice at Walgreens, got bitched at by a customer for serving gelato in a broken cone, made someone's day.

TOMORROW IS FREE CONE DAY AT BEN & JERRY'S.
The stores that are participating, that is.
Would like to go to all the SF stores offering free cones(heh!) but works beckons. :( Will try to run over to Fisherman's Wharf before work. I hear lines can get pretty long though. Well, if I don't get a free cone, then I'll just take comfort in the fact that I can have all the samples I want at work. (Haha!)
(But sometimes, ice cream just tastes better than gelato. Or I've just been around the stuff for too long..)

The poster was taken down. Oh well.
Internet at dorm's dead. I feel cut off from the world! (At the public library at the moment)
French exercise bitch came by the store yesterday. She nagged me for not using the tissue to pick up the cone first. "I got sick because of a person not using a tissue to pick up the cone!" Yeah whatever Frenchie. Back home, we can eat dirty ice cream and all that good stuff and still remain alive and healthy.
(If you are French, please take no offense. I'm not against French people, except for that evil lady.)

"Brown, for instance, will attend the closing ceremony, when the London will be recognized as the next host."
Meanwhile, all this Olympics shit going on is really annoying me.
Why does China have to get all the flak? As if everyone else isn't guilty of anything, heh.
This pretty much sums up my feelings.

If you just had your birthday, belated happy birthday!
The roommate has been giving me these snacks from Hawaii that she doesn't want. People from Hawaii are lucky, they have great snacks. I'd like to live there someday. Or even be there for a day. Or a week. Did you know I once considered applying to University of Hawaii?
As stupid as it sounds, I just found out that there is a surname that is also Tan but is not a version of 陳.
My hairbrush grew legs and ran off to find better hair to brush so I had to rake my hair with my hands.Tomorrow Later I'll go buy a new one and chain it to the ground.

Pasta was half-cooked but I ate it anyway. (But not yesterday!)
Soy milk was expired but I drank the rest anyway. (Gave me the runs Friday night.)
NOT A SCAM! Was rummaging through my things yesterday and I found these Globe prepaid cards (two!) that somehow managed to make it here. So if you're a Globe subscriber and want free 300 peso cards, send me an email at liminalitycc (at) gmail dot com and I'll gladly give you the card number blahblah stuff.

Kirika from NOIR. The only series I'd probably do lots of fanart for, if ever.

At the workshop awhile ago, I asked the instructor this question: do you think it's possible to learn creativity? Response, all paraphrased: Yes, but only if you work from the basics.
Still hard to think that's possible.
Art Center's portfolio deadline for scholarship consideration in less than two weeks. Portfolio for SVA, still haven't completed. LCAD, same thing. I'll probably get rejected for all the schools I wonder why I even bother trying.
C+ for first project for Analysis of Form..I need to work harder.
I envy those people who thought they did a decent job with their work. At least they have the confidence to think so, even if nearly the whole class got the same grade as me.

Picked up some dinner at Nijiya awhile ago. (Those instant curry don things.. cheaper than the ones at Big Apple Discount Center on Polk) Saw some retarded girl dressed up as those typical anthropomorphic cat things people draw(ears + tail), and she was hopping around and making bizarre sounds in a wee little extremely annoying high-pitched voice and saying "SORRY!" to the people in line as she wiggled around like a crazy bitch.
It was like being in hell.
Lesson: avoid going to any Japanese establishment when there's a nearby convention in town.
I would've gladly paid the extra dollar if it meant not having to encounter people like that. It was REAALLY annoying.

First week of school..pretty good. Classes are fun, although it's pretty disappointing to find out that some other people have figure drawing while I have..Introduction to the Computer.
Figure modeling will probably be awesome because the teacher is cool.
What I hate....the rain. It's hard to have to walk up 5 blocks up carrying groceries while it rains. And the fact that the login page for the wi-fi connection keeps on rejecting my username and password and nothing is happening(extremely annoying since I was put in an online class). And..my jobless state and most of all, the expensive art materials.
Hmm..not just art materials when you think about it. More like, EVERYTHING is expensive.

Live from Taiwan!
Jan. 21st, 2008 | 08:05 pm
Never really been to Taiwan, except on a stopover 10 years ago and it was boring. Stores were closed by 6pm and it was pretty dark. It's a good thing they made a new terminal.
Nothing exciting, just sitting on the floor(cold and marble...) beside the Hsin Tung Yang store and using the free internet thing they have. Flight's delayed! :(

Change in plans, will be off to San Francisco on the 23rd. (Hello, Academy of Art!) Staying there unless I get into Art Center or SVA or LCAD. (Have a feeling I won't be leaving though.. :/)
